These are the limits and defaults VirtuAI applies today. They can change as the product evolves; the release notes mention changes that affect you.

The maximum output length depends on the model. For example, it is 65,536 tokens for current Gemini models, 128,000 for OpenAI GPT models and most Claude models, and 64,000 for Claude Haiku 4.5. The agent form caps the field at the selected model’s maximum.
When an answer reaches the max output tokens, web chat marks it as cut off and offers Continue.

The chat panel’s history limit doesn’t affect the audit record: the full transcript stays in Conversations for the retention period.
Whether the model can read images and documents depends on the model. VirtuAI shows a clear error when a model doesn’t support an attachment.
