How VirtuAI works
VirtuAI is a platform for building AI agents and putting them on the channels your customers and teams already use. This page explains the few concepts you need and the order to set things up in.
Concepts
Section titled “Concepts”Workspace : Everything in VirtuAI belongs to a workspace: agents, tools, knowledge bases, keys, users and analytics. Nothing is shared between workspaces, so a team or client gets its own.
Agent : An AI assistant with a personality (its instructions), a model, and the channels it answers on.
Knowledge base : Documents the agent can search to ground its answers in your company’s content.
Tool : An action the agent can take, such as looking up an order or calling one of your APIs. Tools can be custom, predefined, or come from an MCP server.
Channel : Where people talk to the agent: web chat, browser voice, WhatsApp or Google Chat.
